This course is ideal for schools and students, new parents, grandparents, babysitters and others interested in learning how to save a life. Skills are taught in a dynamic group environment using the AHA’s research-proven “practice-while-watching” technique, which provides students with the most hands-on CPR practice time possible.

Please join us for Renown Health’s free one-hour class for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) education! Our goal is to give you the knowledge to better manage your COPD by increasing your understanding of the disease process, medications and how to use them and creating an action plan you can use every day. This program is offered every: Second Tuesday of the month from 4pm – 5pm in Renown Health Pulmonary Rehabilitation classroom The last Thursday of the month from 4pm – 5pm in the Renown Rehabilitation Hospital classroom A link to the virtual meeting will be sent 1 day before the class via email.

Join us on a tour led by a childbirth educator to learn more about our luxurious Baby and Family Suites, labor and delivery rooms housed in the new Labor Assessment Area, and the William N. Pennington Nursery. We’ll cover the pre-admission process, how to check in, and what to expect during your visit. There is no cost to attend! Important notes: Please include children in your ticket counts. If you are running late or feeling unwell, you must reschedule.

Ticket includes partner. Join our Comfort Measures for Birth class and learn about your options and how to practice techniques to manage labor and birth more comfortably. This class is ideal for expecting parents, those needing a refresher in labor coping skills, or couples wanting to expand their knowledge of comfort measures for labor and birth. During this two-hour session, you will learn: Relaxation/meditation practice Breathing techniques Positions for effective laboring and birthing Use of birth ball, rebozo and other tools Massage, counter-pressure, and acupressure Hands-on comfort measures Managing back pain Visualization, vocalizing, and movement When registering, please use expecting mother’s name and information.  Please bring to class: 75 cm exercise/yoga ball ALREADY INFLATED Two bed pillows A mat or towel for breathing and relaxation practice
