Medical Physics Resident

Primary responsibilities include weekly chart review, completed chart review, treatment planning, treatment planning verification, brachytherapy planning and delivery, quality control of the treatment machine under the supervision of a qualified medical physicist and other assignments as requested by the Director of Physics.

The Medical Physicist Resident will directly collaborate with medical staff, nursing staff, and other managers in the hospital to ensure that the Cancer Center functions, and specific radiation safety matters are consistent with established goals and objectives.

The incumbent will be working with the TrueBeam unit, Bravos HDR system, Philips Big Bore 16 Slice CT simulator, and Eclipse treatment planning system. Other imaging modalities such as MRI, PET/CT, ultrasound and nuclear medicine imaging are available.

Education:

Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English. Minimum of two years of didactic coursework in a CAMPEP accredited Master’s or PhD program or in an accredited DMP program required.

Experience:

Must be currently enrolled in a CAMPEP accredited residency or DMP program.
