Parents-to-be will learn how to care for their newborn, including bathing, diapering, cord care, signs of illness, nutrition, feeding, infant safety, understanding newborn behavior along with growth and development. Along with car seat safety and basic child proofing, discussion will include prevention and treatment of common injuries. Grandparents and other caregivers are welcome to attend. This class is geared towards infants and toddlers. This class covers the following topics: Car seat safety education Safe sleep Child proofing your home Basic first aid

Managing Fear and Anxiety During Cancer Treatment Join our compassionate cancer support group, where you’ll find understanding, strength, and clarity as you navigate your journey. Together, we tackle fears about treatment and prognosis, offering guidance to help you manage overwhelming emotions. Be part of a supportive community that truly understands, and gain tools to help both you and your family through these challenging times. You don’t have to face cancer alone—let’s support each other every step of the way. As one survivor said, “It’s about discovering who you are and what brings you joy.” During the workshop you can expect to learn about the Mind-Body connection (the relationship between your thoughts and physical well-being) and how to use it to: – Uncover your questions and concerns – Improve overall energy, mood and well-being – Learn how to tolerate treatment better – Contribute to a reduction in risk of recurrence Every Monday from 10am-11am Virtual attendance is available. Renown Institute for Cancer offers one-hour weekly classes to newly diagnosed breast cancer patients and their families. These insightful classes are facilitated by oncology nurse navigators, social workers, and surgical nurses. In this class, you will: • Meet your navigator and learn about cancer support services available to you • Hear about pre-surgery instructions and your pre-admit appointment • Receive education in rehabilitation and lymphedema • Have your questions answered about treatment, including chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, radiation therapy and clinical trials Note: 18y+ only. This class is not suitable for minors. Childcare is not provided. Video-enabled attendance is available. Patients can access remotely and join from any video-enabled device (smartphone, iPad, laptop or webcam/desktop). Upon registering, you will receive instructions on how to connect virtually.

This support group provides support, education, networking, and resource materials to caregivers coping with a loved one diagnosed with cancer. In effort to provide the most supportive atmosphere for those caring for loved one dealing with cancer, this group is for current cancer caregivers only.
