Renown Welcomes Area's First Baby of 2025

Reno's first baby of 2025 was born in the Labor and Delivery Childbirth Center at Renown Regional Medical Center.
Guadalupe Ibarra gave birth to Ermias Rojas at 6:14 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2025. Baby Ermias weighed 8 pounds, 2.7 ounces and was the first 2025 birth at any of the region's hospitals.
Baby Ermias is welcomed to the world by his father, Sergio Rojas.
