Renown Welcome Area's First Baby of 2023

Meet Eleazar, the first baby born in the Reno-Sparks area in 2023

Reno's first baby of 2023 was born in the Labor and Delivery Childbirth Center at Renown Regional Medical Center.

Gricella Grajeda gave birth to Eleazar Grajeda at 1:05 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 1, 2023. Baby Eleazar weighed 5 pounds, 3.4 ounces and was the first 2023 birth at any of the region's hospitals.

Baby Eleazar is also welcomed to the world by Yesinia Valazquez.

More than 4,040 babies were delivered at Renown Health in 2022. Renown Health offers exceptional family-centered care with complete prenatal services designed for the health and well-being of every patient and their new baby.
