Gain CNA Skills to Advance Your Career
Renown will pay your tuition and lab fees while you work!
Are you interested in becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)? If so, join our CNA Apprenticeship—a full-time job with benefits. Renown Health has partnered with Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) to fully fund a CNA Apprentice program, allowing participants to go to school and work as a CNA Apprentice while being paid. Students shadow, precept and complete their clinical hours in a hospital setting, receiving both the education and experience they need to be a successful clinician. Upon completion of the program, participants are eligible to obtain their CNA license and transfer directly into a full-time night CNA position at Renown Health.
Duration: 9 weeks, offered two times per year.
About the Program
- Program Length: Approximately 9 weeks in class (4 months total)
- Program Location: Truckee Meadows Community College & Renown Health
- Pay Rate: $18/hour (participants are paid for classroom and clinical hours, as well as work time)
- Schedule: This is a full-time position (36-40 hours per week), which includes classroom instruction (Tues/Thurs 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.), clinical hours, work time, etc. During the duration of the program, schedules will be day shift with occasional evenings. - Upon completion of the program, positive feedback from unit, and obtaining your CNA license, we would offer a Full-Time Night position with the unit you completed the apprenticeship with.
