Attend this workshop in person at Renown Regional or virtually via Zoom to learn mind-body techniques to help you feel more connected and joyful in life as you move beyond cancer. This workshop includes: Emphasizing the importance of identifying resistance. Moving through resistance by understanding the concepts of acceptance and surrender. Identifying goals and visions. Creating action steps to help break patterns, to help you stay in a healthier mindset and feel more calm. There is no charge to attend this class. Video enabled attendance is available.       This group is for all patients facing cancer. The meeting enables participants to share experiences and express feelings and concerns. All cancer patients, family members, survivors, and caregivers are welcome to attend. Meets weekly on Thursday from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. in person and virtually. For directions to Sierra Cafe 104, please use the following link: Campus and Parking Maps | Renown Health Click on the “Renown Regional Medical Center Visitor Guide” to download the PDF map.  Sierra Cafe 104 is located on the 1st Floor of the Sierra Tower past the gift shop on the right as you enter the Sierra Cafe.       Ticket includes partner. The Spinning Babies® Parent Class is designed for expecting moms after the 20th week of pregnancy. This class highlights rotating the baby down and out of the pelvis. Turning (spinning) is referred to as fetal rotation and descent. During labor, the baby must rotate and descend through the three levels of the pelvis to be born. Without this movement on the baby’s part, vaginal birth is not possible. The Spinning Babies® Parent Class Parent Class provides: ·       3-4 hours of instruction and practical application ·       Essential daily activities to give you greater ease in pregnancy and help give baby space to move and settle into the correct birth position. ·       Balance techniques to prepare and maintain your body in a balanced, supple, and flexible condition for birth. ·       Birth positions specific to the three levels of the pelvis as solutions when labor doesn’t move forward in a typical pattern. The day of class requirements- ·       Support person required (significant other, friend, mom etc.) ·       Wear comfortable clothing. ·       Bring a large exercise/ yoga ball (65-75cm) ALREADY INFLATED, two pillows (bed pillows okay), and a large towel or yoga mat. We are devoted to people with everyday experiences, sharing their feelings in a safe environment, and developing relationships that can contribute to improved physical and emotional health. We’ve found that our most successful clients attend support groups regularly.       Safe Sitter® is designed to prepare students in grades 6-8 to be safe when they’re home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. The instructor-led class is filled with fun games and role-playing exercises. Students will learn safety skill, childcare skills, first aid and rescue skills, life and business skills, and CPR.
