Ticket includes partner. The American Heart Association Family & Friends course is for those who want to learn infant & child CPR but do NOT need a course completion card in CPR for their job. This course is ideal for schools and students, new parents, grandparents, babysitters and others interested in learning how to save a life. Skills are taught in a dynamic group environment using the AHA’s research-proven “practice-while-watching” technique, which provides students with the most hands-on CPR practice time possible.

Ticket includes partner. This class helps prepare parents for emergencies that may occur with infants and toddlers. Along with car seat safety and basic child proofing, discussion will include prevention and treatment of common injuries. Students will also learn and practice the skills necessary to perform infant and child CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), as well as the skills necessary to assist a choking infant and child. Grandparents and other caregivers are welcome to attend. This class is geared towards infants and toddlers and includes both Infant and Child CPR. Ticket includes partner. The Spinning Babies® Parent Class is designed for expecting moms after the 20th week of pregnancy. This class highlights rotating the baby down and out of the pelvis. Turning (spinning) is referred to as fetal rotation and descent. During labor, the baby must rotate and descend through the three levels of the pelvis to be born. Without this movement on the baby’s part, vaginal birth is not possible. The Spinning Babies® Parent Class Parent Class provides: ·       3-4 hours of instruction and practical application ·       Essential daily activities to give you greater ease in pregnancy and help give baby space to move and settle into the correct birth position. ·       Balance techniques to prepare and maintain your body in a balanced, supple, and flexible condition for birth. ·       Birth positions specific to the three levels of the pelvis as solutions when labor doesn’t move forward in a typical pattern. The day of class requirements- ·       Support person required (significant other, friend, mom etc.) ·       Wear comfortable clothing. ·       Bring a large exercise/ yoga ball (65-75cm) ALREADY INFLATED, two pillows (bed pillows okay), and a large towel or yoga mat. Renown Institute for Cancer offers one-hour weekly classes to newly diagnosed breast cancer patients and their families. These insightful classes are facilitated by oncology nurse navigators, social workers, and surgical nurses. In this class, you will: • Meet your navigator and learn about cancer support services available to you • Hear about pre-surgery instructions and your pre-admit appointment • Receive education in rehabilitation and lymphedema • Have your questions answered about treatment, including chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, radiation therapy and clinical trials Note: 18y+ only. This class is not suitable for minors. Childcare is not provided. Video-enabled attendance is available. Patients can access remotely and join from any video-enabled device (smartphone, iPad, laptop or webcam/desktop). Upon registering, you will receive instructions on how to connect virtually.

This support group provides support, education, networking, and resource materials to caregivers coping with a loved one diagnosed with cancer. In effort to provide the most supportive atmosphere for those caring for loved one dealing with cancer, this group is for current cancer caregivers only. Join our friendly and supportive community to share experiences, learn valuable tips, and connect with others who understand what it’s like to live with COPD.  Our support group offers:  A safe space to share stories and experiences Coping strategies and resources for managing COPD Guest speakers and educational sessions A community of understanding and encouragement We meet on the last Wednesday of the month at the Renown Pulmonary Rehab from 3pm to 4pm. Whether you are newly diagnosed or have been managing COPD for years, you don’t have to go through it alone, Together, we can make this journey a little easier to breathe through.

Joint pain can affect all aspects of life, so if you’re considering total joint replacement surgery, these classes taught by the experts at Renown Health will help you with the following: Understand your procedure, including basic anatomy and explanation of surgical intervention. Prepare for surgery, including home setup, preoperative and pre-admit appointments. Know about your hospital stay, including infection prevention, early mobility, physical and occupational therapy, and adaptive equipment. Learn what happens after surgery, including recovery, medical management, post-operative therapy and exercises, to help you return to normal activities. We highly encourage you to bring a “surgery buddy” for support.

Facilitated by a prostate cancer survivor, this no-cost support group is designed to help men cope with prostate cancer by offering education and support for patients during their cancer journey. This 4-week childbirth preparation meets for 4 consecutive weeks. This class helps prepare mom and her partner for the many aspects of childbirth and beyond. In addition, this class provides a safe forum to ask questions and help you make informed decisions about key issues surrounding your baby’s birth. This class will include topics such as: Healthy developments in your pregnancy Stages of labor Warning signs Breathing and relaxation techniques Comfort measures Role of the support person and labor support Birth planning How to tell when you are in labor Pain relief options during labor/medical procedures How a birth doula can help Cesarean birth Labor and Delivery Tour Our certified instructors offer you support and guidance via education in a unique way that will meet your individual needs.
