Ticket includes partner. In this class you will learn about breastfeeding your baby using recommendations from health organizations across the globe. We recommend that all first-time parents take this in-depth class to help mothers get off to a better start with breastfeeding. Topics include the benefits of breastfeeding, breast anatomy, feeding cues, establishing a good latch, nursing positions, ways for partners to support and be involved in breastfeeding, breast pumping and breast milk storage, breastfeeding tips and available breastfeeding supplies and resources. It also touches on how to know if your baby is getting enough milk and when and where to get help if needed.

Ticket includes partner. The American Heart Association Family & Friends course is for those who want to learn infant & child CPR but do NOT need a course completion card in CPR for their job. This course is ideal for schools and students, new parents, grandparents, babysitters and others interested in learning how to save a life. Skills are taught in a dynamic group environment using the AHA’s research-proven “practice-while-watching” technique, which provides students with the most hands-on CPR practice time possible.

Ticket includes partner. Designed for busy parents, this all-in-one-day Childbirth Education Course will help prepare mom and her partner for the many aspects of childbirth. You’ll learn the many facets of delivery, with the opportunity to ask questions, helping you make informed decisions about critical issues surrounding your baby’s birth. Topics include: Healthy developments in your pregnancy Stages of labor Warning signs Breathing and relaxation techniques Comfort measures Role of the support person and labor support Birth planning How to tell when you are in labor Pain relief options during labor/medical procedures How a birth doula can help Cesarean birth and Postpartum Our certified instructors will offer you support and guidance through education uniquely to meet your individual needs. We believe that childbirth is a process, not a method, and we recognize that there is no one right way to give birth. To attend, please register using the expecting mother’s name and information. Please bring the following to the class: 65-75 cm exercise/yoga ball ALREADY INFLATED 2-bed pillows A mat or towel for breathing and relaxation practice * Note: This class will not include a Baby and Family Suites Tour. Ticket includes partner. The Spinning Babies® Parent Class is designed for expecting moms after the 20th week of pregnancy. This class highlights rotating the baby down and out of the pelvis. Turning (spinning) is referred to as fetal rotation and descent. During labor, the baby must rotate and descend through the three levels of the pelvis to be born. Without this movement on the baby’s part, vaginal birth is not possible. The Spinning Babies® Parent Class Parent Class provides: ·       3-4 hours of instruction and practical application ·       Essential daily activities to give you greater ease in pregnancy and help give baby space to move and settle into the correct birth position. ·       Balance techniques to prepare and maintain your body in a balanced, supple, and flexible condition for birth. ·       Birth positions specific to the three levels of the pelvis as solutions when labor doesn’t move forward in a typical pattern. The day of class requirements- ·       Support person required (significant other, friend, mom etc.) ·       Wear comfortable clothing. ·       Bring a large exercise/ yoga ball (65-75cm) ALREADY INFLATED, two pillows (bed pillows okay), and a large towel or yoga mat. Joint pain can affect all aspects of life, so if you’re considering total joint replacement surgery, these classes taught by the experts at Renown Health will help you with the following: Understand your procedure, including basic anatomy and explanation of surgical intervention. Prepare for surgery, including home setup, preoperative and pre-admit appointments. Know about your hospital stay, including infection prevention, early mobility, physical and occupational therapy, and adaptive equipment. Learn what happens after surgery, including recovery, medical management, post-operative therapy and exercises, to help you return to normal activities. We highly encourage you to bring a “surgery buddy” for support.

Facilitated by a prostate cancer survivor, this no-cost support group is designed to help men cope with prostate cancer by offering education and support for patients during their cancer journey. Details: Both in-person and virtual groups are available.  Video-enabled attendance is available for all attendees.  Patients can access remotely and join from any video-enabled device (smartphone, iPad, laptop, or webcam/desktop).  Upon registering, you will receive instructions on how to connect virtually.  Groups will be held every first and third Monday of each month, from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. in the Sierra Tower – Conference Room 103 at Renown Regional Hospital.  Please note: You can renew registrations every calendar year. Renown Institute for Cancer offers one-hour weekly classes to newly diagnosed breast cancer patients and their families. These insightful classes are facilitated by oncology nurse navigators, social workers, and surgical nurses. In this class, you will: • Meet your navigator and learn about cancer support services available to you • Hear about pre-surgery instructions and your pre-admit appointment • Receive education in rehabilitation and lymphedema • Have your questions answered about treatment, including chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, radiation therapy and clinical trials Note: 18y+ only. This class is not suitable for minors. Childcare is not provided. Video-enabled attendance is available. Patients can access remotely and join from any video-enabled device (smartphone, iPad, laptop or webcam/desktop). Upon registering, you will receive instructions on how to connect virtually.

This support group provides support, education, networking, and resource materials to caregivers coping with a loved one diagnosed with cancer. In effort to provide the most supportive atmosphere for those caring for loved one dealing with cancer, this group is for current cancer caregivers only.
