Join us for our free virtual Smoking Cessation 4-week program courtesy of Renown Health. This class is available to all who want to learn the risks of smoking and the benefits of quitting. In addition, participants will learn about their triggers to smoking, ways to cope while quitting, and available products to assist with becoming tobacco-free. This program begins on the 1st Wednesday of each month and will meet every Wednesday for four weeks from 4 to 5 p.m. Instructions on virtually connecting will be sent 1 day before the first class.

Breastfeeding Circle Gatherings are a great place for breastfeeding moms to find support, exchange experiences, and discuss any concerns. Popular topics include: Milk supply Pumping Returning to work Sleeping, or lack of sleep Weight checks Weighted feedings And more! If you need direct support, please call Breastfeeding Medicine to schedule a 1:1, in person appointment at 775-982-6365. This gathering is FREE to join.

This group is for all patients facing cancer. The meeting enables participants to share experiences and express feelings and concerns. All cancer patients, family members, survivors, and caregivers are welcome to attend. Meets weekly on Thursday from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. in person and virtually. This 4-week childbirth preparation meets for 4 consecutive weeks. This class helps prepare mom and her partner for the many aspects of childbirth and beyond. In addition, this class provides a safe forum to ask questions and help you make informed decisions about key issues surrounding your baby’s birth. This class will include topics such as: Healthy developments in your pregnancy Stages of labor Warning signs Breathing and relaxation techniques Comfort measures Role of the support person and labor support Birth planning How to tell when you are in labor Pain relief options during labor/medical procedures How a birth doula can help Cesarean birth Labor and Delivery Tour Our certified instructors offer you support and guidance via education in a unique way that will meet your individual needs. We believe that childbirth is a process, not a method, and we recognize that there is no one right way to give birth. Please register using the expecting mother’s name and information. Ticket includes partner. The American Heart Association Family & Friends course is for those who want to learn infant & child CPR but do NOT need a course completion card in CPR for their job. This course is ideal for schools and students, new parents, grandparents, babysitters and others interested in learning how to save a life. Skills are taught in a dynamic group environment using the AHA’s research-proven “practice-while-watching” technique, which provides students with the most hands-on CPR practice time possible.

Managing Fear and Anxiety During Cancer Treatment Join our compassionate cancer support group, where you’ll find understanding, strength, and clarity as you navigate your journey. Together, we tackle fears about treatment and prognosis, offering guidance to help you manage overwhelming emotions. Be part of a supportive community that truly understands, and gain tools to help both you and your family through these challenging times. You don’t have to face cancer alone—let’s support each other every step of the way. Space is limited for this event, and registration is required. This workshop is focused on understanding and completing a Nevada Durable Power of Attorney of Healthcare, also known as an Advance Directive. What to expect:  A brief presentation about the document, its contents and purpose.  Time for questions.  Staff will be on hand to assist with document completion.  A notary will be present for notarization.  Participants may have their document uploaded into their Renown electronic medical record and/or submitted to the Nevada Living Will Lockbox on their behalf. Please come prepared with names, addresses, and phone numbers of those you want to appoint in the document and a photo ID if notarization is desired. All required paperwork will be provided by our staff.
