The Senior Director of Operations will drive several key initiatives and possess the following skills to succeed:
1. The ability to optimize clinical and business performance within a given portfolio of services to enhance efficiency and quality. This will be accomplished through input and collaboration with executive leadership, physician leadership and team members.
2. Provide input and assist with the development of strategic plan for assigned areas. Responsible for budgeting and financial performance of assigned area.
3. The ability to manage projects independently and collaborate within a team setting. Excellent organizational skills, the ability to set and adhere to timelines and other project management skills.
4. The ability to develop and implement new programs that support the overall strategic plan for the organization.
5. The ability to provide oversight and mentorship for leaders within the department.
6. Development of strategic plans related to physician recruitment and retention. Work in collaboration with recruitment and human resources to recruit and retain top talent in our community.
7. The ability to work on complex, cross-functional issues that impact multiple stakeholders with a focus on solution-oriented outcomes.
8. Ability to communicate and build relationships across varying levels and departments of the organization.
9. Ability to present strategic and operational plans for departments to executive leadership.
Duties/responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
Financial Management
1. Responsible for financial annual budgets and performance outcomes.
2. Develop performance improvement initiatives to hit budget targets as needed
3. Evaluate and make tactical changes to ensure optimal efficiency within departments.
4. Collaboration with revenue cycle and finance departments to optimize opportunities.
Human Resource Management
1. Develop and implement operational and personnel changes to improve performance
2. Provides effective leadership for providers, support staff, including ancillary services where appropriate.
3. Develops and maintains effective communications with Executive Leadership, Physician leaders and other practice administrators.
4. Recruits, develops, and retains top talent.
Business and Clinical Operations
1. Strong knowledge of operational metrics, compensation methodologies, and physician strategy
2. Develops and implements a leadership team to support efficient patient care and operations.
3. Promotes and supports collaborative practice and multi-disciplinary coordination between departments.
4. Collaborates with clinical leadership in the development of standards for departments.
5. Work collaboratively with leadership and peers to develop new services and programs
