Senior Account Specialist - Hybrid

Position Purpose

The Senior Account Specialist will be responsible for ensuring prospective and existing clients receive timely quotes and renewals for the Individual & Family line of business and will provide secondary assistance as needed for other commercial lines of business. Additionally, upon notification of sale or renewal the Senior Account Specialist will oversee all aspects of implementation ensuring a seamless and high-quality experience for our members and brokers.

 

The Senior Account Specialist will be the liaison and main contact for our brokers and members as it corresponds to Hometown Health’s IFP LOB. This includes, but is not limited to IFP benefits, rates, enrollment process, service issues, and other member and broker inquiries. Additionally, the Senior Account Specialist will provide secondary assistance as needed for other commercial lines of business.

 

The Senior Account Specialist will act as the health plan trainer, obtaining and maintaining most current information to educate and distribute during new employee orientation program.

 

The Senior Account Specialist will also support the Product Development Coordinator in the development and filing of Hometown Health’s commercial products with the Nevada Department of Insurance.

 

 

 

Nature and Scope

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Serve as the primary point of contact for members and brokers regarding Hometown Health’s on and Off-Exchange IFP products.

• Respond to broker and member inquiries via phone, email, and in-person, providing accurate information and solutions.

• Assist members and brokers with policy applications, renewals, changes, and cancellations

• Educate members and brokers about policy features, benefits, and coverage options.

• Resolve member issues and concerns promptly, ensuring a positive customer experience.

• Maintain accurate records of interactions and account details in the Salesforce quoting and CRM system.

• Collaborate with internal teams, including enrollment and IT, to facilitate member requests.

• Stay informed about industry trends, product updates, and regulatory changes affecting IFP products.

• Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance product knowledge and customer service skills.

• Assist the Product Development Coordinator with all aspects of the commercial product filing process as required by the Nevada Department of Insurance.

• Become proficient in the commercial product filing process in the event that you need to manage the entire process in the absence of the Product Development Coordinator.

Minimum Qualifications

Name

Description

Education:

Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English. Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of four years in group health insurance or related health care group coverage preferred. Candidates with extensive customer service and high-level administrative duties will be considered.

License(s):

A valid State of Nevada driver's license and ability to pass Renown Health's Department of Motor Vehicle Report criteria.

Must be licensed or become licensed within 90 days of hire in the State of Nevada as a Health Insurance Producer.

Certification(s):

None

Computer / Typing:

Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word and have the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
