The incumbent has the authority and responsibility to delete patient information, modify patient demographics, merge patients and make major changes to patient data in Pac’s, Radiology Information system (RIS) and RIS controlled DICOM functions for all Renown Imaging facilities. The incumbent is able to perform diagnostic radiographic filming with the appropriate window leveling for all modalities for Renown Imaging facilities, from both magic view 300’3 and 1000’s. The incumbent works directly with physician’s offices and their staff in training and use of the Magic Web application. The incumbent develops and ensures appropriate internal and external customer communication and support.
The incumbent contacts patient’s physicians and laboratories to insure all needed information and lab work is available for scheduled procedures.
The incumbent works with admitting and PPU to coordinate beds and resources needed to complete procedures.
The incumbent works with patients to insure way finding and assists the patients with any problems they encounter in the scheduling or admitting process.
The incumbent operates and or supports the following imaging equipment and related machinery: Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS), Magic View 300’s and Magic View 1000’s, The Magic Web, Dry View processor, CD burners, Digitizers, Radiology information System (RIS), RIS-controlled DICOM functions and CMS. The incumbents supports and/or operates all Magic View 300’s in Renown by rebooting and checking to make sure that all exams and study notes are being received and archived for all Renown Imaging facilities. Daily database management is performed to maintain duplicate exams, current names for trauma patients and ensures that CT, USD, MRI and CR exams are properly merged for all Renown Imaging facilities. The incumbent must also be3 able to answer a high volume of phone calls and troubleshoots problems that may occur.
The incumbent is responsible for Scheduling Employees , training of new employees, problem solving and providing input to the Supervisor for employee evaluations .
The incumbent handles all legal requests for images for all of Renown Health System. This incumbent assumes the Radiology Coordinator role during swing, grave and weekend shifts.
The incumbent has the authority to call in appropriate imaging repair service when needed, to contribute input to the management team and help in the decision making process on any topic deemed to be important at the time.
This position is further challenged to maintain accuracy, communicate effectively with different types of people, to function efficiently and pleasantly under pressure, to identify and maintain priorities and to respond to simultaneous requests and demands from a variety of individuals while remaining courteous and professional. High standards of courtesy, performance, diplomacy and respect for confidentiality are essential. The incumbent may be required to document, both written and verbally, assigned responsibilities at the request of the PACS/RIS Support Supervisor.
Performs other related function, as needed for all Renown Imaging facilities.
